Harbour Rock Restaurant is situated on one of the most spectacular sites in Hermanus, high on a cliff top overlooking the fishing and whale watching harbour. The building was designed with artful precision by Andrew Greef and and was built in 1997 using steel, stone and timber.
Francois Barnard, the owner, together with general manager Vaughan Van Blerk and an exceptional team run a premium restaurant. Acclaimed by locals and tourists alike, Harbour Rock Restaurant draws people back to Hermanus time and again.

The whole team in the kitchen is phenomenal and I especially enjoy working alongside the veteran fish and prawn specialist Sipho Gquamane who has been tending the grills for 18 years at the Rock.
